Available Courses

This course teaches software developers and database administrators the basic architecture and concepts of Objectivity/DB.

An introduction to the Objectivity/DB Parallel Query Engine (PQE).

Course Objectives
Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to use Objectivity/PQE to run distributed C++ or Java queries against Objectivity/DB databases.

Prerequisites
Objectivity/DB for C++ Developers or Objectivity/DB for Java Developers.
This course assumes a working knowledge of C++. The course does not teach the C++ language. The student will need access to a C++ compiler or interactive development environment.

Introduction
The Objectivity/DB for C++ Developers course is a lab-intensive course for the experienced C++ programmer. The course focuses on creating databases and applications using Objectivity/DB. The course also introduces Objectivity/DB tools.

Course Objectives
Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to independently use Objectivity/DB to create, design, and develop database applications.

Prerequisites
This course assumes a working knowledge of C++. The course does not teach the C++ language. The student will need access to a C++ compiler or interactive development environment.

Introduction
The Objectivity for Java Developers course focuses on creating databases and applications using Objectivity for Java. The course also introduces Objectivity/DB tools.

Course Objectives
Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to independently use Objectivity for Java to create, design, and develop database applications.

Prerequisites
This course assumes a working knowledge of Java. The course does not teach the Java language.

•Course Objective

•The objective of this course is to provide an overview of the
information a Database or System Administrator needs to deploy and maintain Objectivity products.

This course does not assume programming experience, nor does it describe how to develop Objectivity applications.

Target Audience

This course is intended for database administrators who will be performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting on an Objectivity/DB database configuration during development or after application deployment.
